Next Jam December 5th!

Our first jam was great fun! The next one will again be on the first Monday of the month, December 5th, at Mosby. Here are a few more songs to play--some of these came up at the first jam, others have been suggested since. I've provided links to the song, tabs and lyrics. As always, feel free to bring your own ideas, or better yet, post them to this site, or email them to me to do so. Hope to see you on Monday the 5th, and meanwhile, have a great Thanksgiving!

Wagon Wheel, Bob Dylan by way of Old Crow...

Neil Young--Helpless

Merle Haggard--Mama Tried

Sitting on the Dock of the Bay by the great Otis Redding

Here's the original from 1968

here's a good instructional video using both bar & open chords

Here are tabs and lyrics which I believe track the video pretty closely

I'll try to post a few more before the jam.

First Jam November 7th!

Our first Quahog Jam will be next Monday, November 7th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Mosby Center. Here are a few song ideas to get us started--but please feel free to suggest or bring others:

California Stars by Wilco

Stormy Monday Blues in G

Here's an instructional video showing the chords

And here are the lyrics

Pink Floyd--Wish You Were Here

Yes, that ol' chestnut

Here are the tabs & lyrics

Here's a video with the riff

Out of the Blue by Neil Young

Because what would an open jam be without Neil Young?

Tabs and lyrics here

Wild Horses by the Stones

There are about a million ways to play this, but this is probably the easiest--

or if you want to try open G, here's a vid--

We can jam on blues in A and E, as well.

Again, I hope others will bring song ideas. Hope to see you Monday!
